Hi! I am currently @ 49% paid of my 8th loan with square. Typically offers have come in at around 50-60% since. I have seen a few people mentioning that they now do a soft credit pull and am wondering if this pertains to personal credit or business credit?

New offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, but your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid. This timing helps to ensure a significant portion of a new loan can be used to reinvest in your business directly rather than repaying your existing loan balance.

Keep in mind that we can’t guarantee that another offer will be extended before or after the current plan is complete. Repaying your existing plan does not guarantee that your business will be eligible for another offer.

The same thing happened to me. I was always offered somewhere in 60-75%. The last one was my largest. I got all the way to 91% before offered a new one. The offer was 1/4 my previous loan. I’m now at 62% paid back in only 4 months (4x the minimum due) and nothing.

ok my loan is officially paid off through sales, here is hoping for an offer but to be honest i don't have much hope.

Square Loans are extended by invitation only based on regular, automated evaluations of your account activity (such as payment processing volume and debit history). While we cannot guarantee future offers, we will continue to monitor your account and notify you directly in your Square Dashboard if your business becomes eligible.

ok call me amazed, i got a new offer about 4 hours after finishing my last loan, about half the size of my previous but about the same size I had been receiving before my previous. Ok I take everything back square you don't hate me/ us. but better communication would be appreciated, now I am just waiting for the 1-3 day process.

Still no offer sitting at 85% paid off. Everything green! Who knows at this point. And all they do is give generic answers.

Does anyone know how long the review process actually takes? I was offered a loan on Wednesday at 46% and my last two loans I was instantly approved but this one said 1 to 3 business days just wondering what the timeline is and why maybe this one wasn’t instantly approved?

Hi friends! Just reaching out to get some feedback as to when people have received their most recent loan offers. I am in year 4 of business using Square and do understand they have their own algorithm.  Just kinda seeing if they are tossing them out there at the moment. I am sitting at 76% paid off, so I am not holding my breath just yet. But would LOVE a new offer sometime SOON!

The Square Loan program is currently offered by invitation, new offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid. At this time, we can’t predict if or when your business may be eligible for an additional Square Loan, however, we will continue to monitor your account for eligibility. If your business becomes eligible to apply for a loan, we’ll notify you through your Square Dashboard.

I was denied because it says I have another account with a balance which I DONT! has this happened to anyone before? How do I get around this?

Have you called them? There is really no way around it. If you aren’t associated with any other accounts with Square or their partners you should contact them asap.

Hello! I thought I would update everyone. I did finally get an offer for my 4th loan at 91% and it was more than my other two. So just a look back my second loan offer came in at 54% and then the third at 70%. Just when I thought it was never going to happen! It did!

Hello, took out my first loan in November 2025, paid it off through sales. August 5,2026. Was offered a new loan on August 6, 2026 for $300 less. I took it. I was able to pay that one off extremely early through sales on September 28, 2026. I am a small business and only process roughly 30-50k annually through square but this last month has been really good to me and i’m looking to capitalize on that momentum to keep it up. All my metrics are good, yet as of today, october 4, 2026, no new loan offer. i’ve been with square since 2023 so it took two years to get that first. Idk. I just don’t understand it. And yes I am well aware of the copy and paste answer of them not guaranteeing a loan and it’s all algorithmic based. Just wanted to vent. 😔

It’s ok to vent we all have a time or two. Congratulations on the success! It’s great to see. You’re at the getting to know you stage is all. The algorithm is learning how you process, square is building a relationship with you and learning your way of processing as well. I would say my 1-4/5 loan was all over the place. After that they started growing as my business did. Good luck and keep us posted!!!🤞

Thank you for the encouragement. I just wanted to report back that I received an offer on today and it was 2x’s more than last offer. I guess patience is a virtue lol. 🥰

Hit 81% yesterday after a busy weekend & got offered tonight around 7:30PM. About 1.5k less than the last one. This is loan number 5 for this location. Just wanted to give a little hope.
