October 2025 Loan Offers

Hello! While I’m well aware loans can come at any time over 75% paid off on the current one, I do wish there was an easier way to predict when that would happen.

my last one was 76% paid off and I received an offer. I’m currently at 78.5% paid off and nothing yet.

Anyone seeing loans offered under 80% still?

Hi @shannong

Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.

We understand that not being immediately eligible can be frustrating but new offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid.

Because businesses are dynamic, we’re unable to guarantee Square Loan offers. At this time, we can’t predict if or when your business may be eligible for an additional Square Loan, however, we will continue to monitor your account for eligibility. If your business becomes eligible to apply for a loan, we’ll notify you through your Square Dashboard.

Don’t hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.

I’m switching to RTS and feel I’ll probably start using Shopify invoices and a website again instead. Just use Square if people need Afterpay. This is my 9th loan. I’ve been a customer of Square’s since 2019. I think I’ve more than given them enough money.

Same here im a 81% paid in 3 months my sales have increased 25% in 3 months and 210% for this year and all green metrics this is my 4th loan this year because I’m paying them off in 2-3 months but this year all my offers came in before I hit 70% so something is definitely off with square.

This is what I just did..... I paid off my loan on Oct 9th and didnt get another offer even after a record year, and all green, and repeated generic responses from Square for their customer service. I was already using Shopify for my website so I switched all my invoicing and in person sales to it now too.

Meeee I’m this seller and agree with you! I would love to have that money back the fees etc. viscous cycle for a little chunk change. I’m currently at 81% paid in 3 months my sales have increased 25% in 3 months and 210% for this year and all green metrics this is my 4th loan this year because I’m paying them off in 2-3 months but this year all my offers came in before I hit 70% so something is definitely off with square.

All of you complain oh man Ive paid back 70% of my last loan and not getting a new one... You shouldnt get a new loan till you pay off the last one in full anyways are you kidding me. I wouldnt know how to act If I ever received 4 loans in one year I wish.

Agree I always declined the loans when I was still paying on one because I felt they would offer a bigger one when the loan was paid off but that is not always the case. I have found it is better to accept when your profits are up to keep the momentum and invest in inventory to increase sells but right now I’m growing outside of squares timeline on funding and need the predictability over the processor and so I have to make a change. I’m afraid with the pattern of offers being slim and all these sellers have payback percentages in 70-80s range that they will low ball me and offer chunk change on my new offer. They should consider working on the loan department in terms of predictability and amount percentages like if you process $50,000 annual sales you are eligible for 10-30% of your sales. Not here is $2000 for a business running $100,000+ in sales it’s a little comical for them to insult like that. I have a friend in another town who has 2 restaurants processing through square she grosses $700,000 in one of the restaurants and only has been offered $30,000 so I find it hard to believe they actually fund $350,000 loans to anyone. In rural communities we talk about these things.

Thank you and you are correct a straight forward approach it’s like they really aren’t evaluating my account they update and say they are but they are not there is no way I process too much through them I’m now up 239% in 3 months I’m like this is comical at this point.

Another option we need added is the ability to decline a loan.

if I don't like the offer, I should be able to refuse it. I got an insulting offer on what is my 12th loan in 4 years. 1/4 my last loan. It's been there since Thursday night, taunting me. I should be able to decline it and wait for another offer.

That must be new I have declined before for an insulting offer. I remember it was like $1200. I was like nawwww I think I’m good I had $26,000 in my linked account and $10,000 in my square at the time. Huge disappointment for me and embarrassing for Square to say the least. My next offer was $4500 about a month after that one and I decided to take it. That loan was the most I’ve ever been offered and that is what my last one was and keep in mind I report $250,000 on my taxes I run a 6 figure business and this is what they offer. Square needs to step it up on loan offers in 9 years I’ve not seen any benefits or hopes of improvement yet. I’ll correct myself if I’m wrong and I get an amazing loan offer and will come back to report but I literally would bet money at this point they will continue to insult me and embarrass themselves which is why this week will be my last hopefully tomorrow for me to process with them given they have not given my account a Review obviously. If they really reviewed my account they would’ve already offered me a new loan.  My CPA who previously worked for a company in loan servicing looked at my financials last week and something was definitely off she also works for the IRS so I truly trust her opinion. Just my 2 cents

They are offering me $3430 at 89% complete on a $8650 loan that I got in March. My sales are up 62% YoY. I broke 6 digits this year, which is a HUGE improvement over last year, and a record for me. I also added a second business location, so that is additional income. However, that location is mostly cash, so I don't blame them for not counting that.

I guess I could take the loan and knock it out pretty quickly, but it is an insult with such a small amount, and such a heartbreaking realization that Square would never give me a loan of say $15k to $20k, which is what I need for that HUGE boost to take my business to the next level. This loan would be $2000 after the current loan payment. It's always baby steps, and that makes me angry. It is what it is, I guess. I've had dips before, but with my sales doing very well this year, I was hoping to finally break $10k. Four loans ago, I got a $9600 loan, and now we are at $3430?!! Come on. You'd think Square sees the constant early payments, the consistent history, that'd they take a bit more risk. My current loan is $8650 at 20% repayment rate.

While it is cool they are dropping short term microloans, perhaps we can work at the other end of the spectrum as well, and take some risk on long running businesses who need a little bit more at once, and have the history to pay it off.

Wow i’d be angry too! You have every right to be. I’m angry for you lol that’s a legit issue I keep seeing in the community is they offer an amount but when sales soar they aren’t there for the sellers and that is 100% why I feel it’s time for me to make a move. I want to partner with someone I can say hey this company was there for me in a pickle and helped me grow my business. Square has only held me back from my potential because partially I admit I threw all my eggs in the basket with them trying to earn their trust and build a relationship but 9 years in and I’m overlooked and nothing more than a flea on a dogs back to them. We give them a huge amount of our money on these loans and sadly sellers are not treated the way business owners should be treated. I’m now sitting at 82% paid and still nothing. Another $1000 on my day off to no new offers. I’ve chatted emailed, called and nothing but the same automated messages BTW Did that offer come today?

No. That offer came Thursday. I always get my offers after my business hours and close to the weekend for some reason.

I'm complaining because I can. I had a loan offer of almost $10k 2 years ago, I'd like something a bit more substantial in order to push my business to the next level. I'm glad you're doing 2.5x my volume. Congratulations.

Your hardships do not diminish my hardships. It's not a competition.

I know it's upsetting but I think you need to chill out. Between last night and this morning I got 6 emails about you posting in this thread.

Okay so I have replied to your posts directly 1 time this would make 2 times so I think you need to chill out. Im sorry you want more Im just bringing to light that maybe you should be happy your getting offers like you are before even paying current loan off, because there are sellers doing twice your volume and not receiving offers at all, or for less then half the amount your getting offers for and half as often, so maybe you should be glad you are getting treated better then some others that are processing more and receiving way less it isnt a competition no but when you post about how its not fair your getting so little think about the fact that someone just informed you that they are getting way less even Though they are putting in way more just food for thought!

If I settled for what was given to me, I would never move up in the world.

I feel bad for those people but that's not my predicament. I get at least 2-3 loans a year. It is something I have become accustomed to. By seeing YoY increases I expect upwards mobility from Square's end as well.

If you are doing 2.5x my volume every year perhaps you should seek out traditional lending. If I was making $250k a year, I would.

My complaints are just as valid as yours, and mine are mostly me speaking about my experience as this is a forum of discussion.

I would surely be upset if I was getting no offers despite the volume you claim to make, so perhaps Square is not a fit for you. Maybe check out Pipe Capital, they look at your Square stats and give loans based on that.
