$0 fees for ACH transactions deposited into Square Checking

Does anyone have a better understanding of this fee information?

https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5068-what-are-square-s-fees

  • ACH bank transfer (via API): 1%, $1 min, $5 fee cap
    • $0 fees for ACH transactions deposited into Square Checking

My take on this: There wont be any fees (processing fee, transfer fee, any fee) if I use square checking account for depositing the money if my customer uses ACH. If a customer pays $100 for invoice then I will get $100 deposited to my square checking account. I am using square API in my application that collects payment.

Is my understanding correct?

That's what it says, that is what it implies. However, in practice, they will still charge you the 1% .

Support is useless, I've opened several tickets, it always gets closed or transferred to a different department, for example Square Banking Team. Who then say, it's not on their end and kick it back to Customer Success Team.

I don't want to make this about support, but I can't get an answer from anyone. I agree with you, the fee schedule clearly states 0 Fees if ACH to Square Checking account. However that is not the case.
