Test Partial Payments in the Invoices Request Deposit Beta

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that we’ve rolled out a beta for accepting partial payments with Square Invoices!

This new feature will allow you to create a single invoice and track multiple payments on that invoice. This may also be useful for those of you who want to accept a deposit and collect the rest of the amount due later.

We know this is a feature many of you have been waiting for, so I hope you’ll help us test it out!

Interested in testing this feature. With this feature, can the customer make it in more than just two payments or only the two payments? Thank you!

Hi @Howard

Although the feature of splitting payments and being able to do deposits works excellent, I didn’t realize that you cannot pay the remainder of an invoice on the app until day of event when the customer wanted to pay the remainder in cash and card. 

As our events are in person and we collect the remainder in person, without being able to complete payments on the Square POS app it makes the feature unusable. 

Right now now I have a mess with unpaid invoice and a separate sale that we needed to collect payment. 

Is is this the next feature being added to the app?
