Test Partial Payments in the Invoices Request Deposit Beta

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that we’ve rolled out a beta for accepting partial payments with Square Invoices!

This new feature will allow you to create a single invoice and track multiple payments on that invoice. This may also be useful for those of you who want to accept a deposit and collect the rest of the amount due later.

We know this is a feature many of you have been waiting for, so I hope you’ll help us test it out!

By using partial payments and providing us feedback, you will directly influence and improve the Square Invoices product. So please share your reactions and input.

Hi @smartstreamusa - Right now, you can only use the Request Deposit feature on the dashboard. This is a beta which means the team is tweaking and building upon the feature for future updates. I'll pass on the fact that you want to be able to use this in the app. Let us know if you have any other feedback!

Every single sale I make requires a deposit, and without the feature, Square is almost more trouble than it's worth.

Howard, thank you for adding me to the Invoice Request Deposit Beta. After reviewing the steps, I realized that my challenge is a bit different. I have already sent an invoice to a client who want to make a partial payment on the invoice. Unfortunately, the client stated he was unable to do this. To rectifiy that situation, I sent him an invoice from Quickbooks, but would prefer to have edited the invoice I sent him from Square. Any suggestions on how to make this work?
