Test Partial Payments in the Invoices Request Deposit Beta

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that we’ve rolled out a beta for accepting partial payments with Square Invoices!

This new feature will allow you to create a single invoice and track multiple payments on that invoice. This may also be useful for those of you who want to accept a deposit and collect the rest of the amount due later.

We know this is a feature many of you have been waiting for, so I hope you’ll help us test it out!

Great news! This feature is now live and will be rolled out to everyone in the next week! Instructions for how to request deposits in this post.

@LipsAmore Currently you are only able to view these payments on the mobile app. Within the Online Dashboard, you are only able to note that you have accept other payments types like Cash or check, but you are not able to manually imput the customers card information. If the customer wants to enter their card information they will have to do so within the email that was send to them. 

Also if the depsoit was paid in cash, the system will not assume the rest of the payment is in Cash.

@slforristall2 Currently you are not able to charge the card within the app or on the Dashboard. The customer must fill out their card information within the email that was sent. 

We plan to add mobile support within the coming months.
