I just purchased the terminal to find that my appointments doesn't connect to it, not even if I add it as a device to my laptop. The whole reason bought it was to have a separate system from my phone when my Salon manager takes payments. Now to have to go in my laptop, transfer over ticket prices is a pain. Especially when it's already been done by making the appointment. This was my main reason for getting it. I don't need a whole register system, this was the perfect size to go along with my laptop. I feel as though I've just wasted $300 for something that the little chip reader does better. Will there be an update soon? if not am I able to return it?

Correct, at this time, Square Terminal isn’t compatible with Square Appointments. We do not currently have an ETA for this integration. Keep an eye out for an announcement for this feature update!
In the meantime, as a workaround, open tickets do sync between the Appointments app and Square Terminal. This means you could create a ticket from the Appointments app, open the same ticket on Square Terminal and tap Charge to complete the payment.
