My Square Terminal does not appear in my hardware settings menu

My Square Terminal does not appear in my hardware settings menu

I am running the Square POS app on an iPad.

 

It is connected via the hub to the Square Terminal and a printer.

 

The Square POS app and the Square Terminal are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

 

However, there is no option for "Square Terminal", or even "Customer Display" when I access "More > Settings > Hardware".

 

Any advice?

Unfortunately, the connecting Square Terminal to Square Point of Sales function for Customer Display is not available in Japan yet. I'll be sure to send your request about having this functionality over to our Product Liaison Team. We will announce here once it's available. Thank you.

Hi There!  I'm having the same issue.  I bought the Terminal thinking I could pair it with the POS app (on Andriod), as per https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7428-connect-your-square-terminal-to-spos

 

If I knew this function isn't available in Japan, I would have bought the cheaper Card Reader instead... Anyhow, if this is a 'coming-soon' feature to the Andriod version, please do let me know.  Otherwise, I would have to return the Terminal and purchase the Reader instead.  Thanks.

Unfortunately https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7428-connect-your-square-terminal-to-spos is a support page for the U.S. and the U.S Square support page would includes contents that is not available in Japan. Also, thank you for your comment on this beta program thread! As you can see there, we are currently running a beta program for it in Japan. Many Thanks for the information.  It is very unfortunate that this particular feature isn't enabled in Japan.  I look forward to when this embargo is lifted.
