Modifier for services not showing when using Appointments

Modifier for services not showing when using Appointments

I've setup the services I would like to offer with a modifier for Add-ons but when using square appointments for online booking I'm not seeing any option to select the modifier? I select the Service and then I'm taken to the calendar.

 

Modifier Set - Enabled 

Maximum Modifiers - Set to max

"Customer can only select one modifier" - Off

 

Any ideas?

I agree I am finally moving from appointments. Not having modifiers online is really bad business scheduling for clients

Agree, this a problem. I have to look at other booking platforms because of this. Please allow the modifiers in the widget and please update the widget or allow business owners to make the GUI better.

4 years after the original posting and this is till not a feature? The appointments side of square is incredibly limited and having visible modifiers and pre-appointment questions would be really helpful. Please add useful updates to Appointments.

Square, what are you guys doing??? Losing valuable customers left, right and centre because of a simple feature that should've been added a LONG time ago. Severely disappointed. Clearly customer feedback doesn't matter to you in the slightest.

I appreciate you adding your voice to this feature request regarding modifiers, I know this has been a big ask for sellers across all markets. 

I did come across another post that mentioned using variations as a workaround while this feature isn't available. We appreciate your input and patience with this feature request.  Thank you!

Variations are *not* a workaround as you can only select one variation at a time.

Just finished setting everything up and came across this thread.... Glad I am still on a free trial, most definitely switching to a different provider. Based off this thread Square clearly doesn't value customer feedback. noted.....

How can i add-ons on booking page. I want customer to add a service then at checkout page customer should see a add-on. I have created a modifier but it is not available for online booking. If anyone know how to add please reply.

Currently, service modifiers cannot be applied to online bookings. I’ve gone ahead and moved your post to an existing thread where we are tracking this Feature Request. As soon as we have any news to share, we’ll update this thread and let everyone know.

In the meantime, service modifiers can be applied in the following ways:

  • Add to Existing Bookings: You can add service modifiers to an existing booking by editing the appointment from the Calendar section of the Appointments app.
  • Create New Bookings: You can add service modifiers when creating a booking directly from the Calendar section of the Appointments app.


If you'd like to offer different bookable options for your clients, you may want to look at adding variations to your services instead.

FOUR YEARS...Square...this was posted FOUR FREAKING YEARS AGO and it's STILL not resolved.  Please make this a priority.  I am a service only business, and frankly I cannot justify the cost of your software if this feature is not available.  I will be cancelling my subscription next month if this hasn't been resolved.
