Inventory Counting: Full Count by Category

I'm posting the idea from @TSA_Orlando:

Would like the ability to do a "Full Count of only one category. I'm currently working with 4,000+ SKUs and want to have the ability to do a full inventory count (resetting certain products back to 0) while only effecting certain selected category's to break that SKU count down to something more manageable." 

Use Case: 

We have about the same number of SKUs, and being able to do a Full Count of books, or a Full Count of candles would be great. This would lessen the burden of having to do an inventory day with eight or so employees. Instead, we could do Full Counts of certain categories throughout the year.

I would love this, to be able to do a count by category.  Would help if we list items by brand, and assign a person to inventory each brand.

@MayaP has this feature ever been added to a roadmap since it was last reviewed two years ago? I just went through inventory counting for the end of the year and realized how amazing this feature would be.
