In Stock notifications and special ordering / pre orders for Square Online

We would like to see the ability for customers to request a notification when an "out of stock' item is back in stock. Most eCommerce sites have this option and surprised to see it is not available with Square.

Similar to this we would like the customer to have the option to place an order for an out of stock item so that the item can be dispatched  when it comes back into stock. This could also be used to allow us to put "special order" items on the site that are not held in stock as they are high value or need to be custom made once ordered.

This feature would be so handy.

We have a large database of products, some that we order in as requested.  If the customer was able to pre-order products and put in requests that would be great.

Hi, I was wondering when will this option be available?

I have been reading the thread and it looks as though this has been requested 3 years ago yet no improvement has been made. I am a bit worried as I am wanting to improve my website, customer trust, and upsell/AOV yet I am at a road block with any ads and options with square and I have just paid for another year

As a store owner, I can see how this feature would directly benefit my business. In a challenging retail climate, I’m carrying far less stock on hand and relying heavily on managing customer order requests effectively to maintain cash flow. It’s disappointing that, despite numerous requests from sellers over the past four years, no updates have been made. This seems like a fundamental feature that would significantly streamline operations for many businesses.
