Hi,

 

We quickly built a Square/Weebly Online Store this week so that people could place contactless/curbside orders for our gelato shop. It's working great and I love that the tickets print out when it's time to make the order.

 

We are also implementing a local delivery service where people can preorder with us and we'll deliver it on Friday night. Right now we're doing it by email to take their item order and we respond back with a Square Invoice to capture payment. Has anyone successfully found a way to do local delivery with the Online Store platform?

 

It would be awesome if besides Pickup or Shipping, merchants could toggle on a Local Delivery button and the merchant could set a few options, such as "Delivery on Friday night, 4-7pm," "Delivery on Saturday afternoon, 12-6pm." Maybe with an option to assign a fee, but that's less important during this emergency response.

We are currently testing Batch Processing in our Beta Community, which may help you out. This is another update to allowing pre-orders on your online store.  We'd love for you to join in the test and provide feedback.

Yes exactly. Switching to service works perfectly

Yes, message me if you have trouble making it work. 
you can also create a banner pop up for your page that tells customers day of pick up, then adjust your email after purchase to relay that date again. The 'service' takes away that annoying date days prep time preset

we are a bakery that sells a vast menu. we have holiday items that can only be ordered on a certain day. i see this feature is desired by many other users. is there a feature yet to put  specific dates and or times for holiday items to be picked up?

Is there a way for customers to order for a later date (a month or 2 )and it will go into a calendar

Just want to add another vote for this feature. 

 

We are a small microgreen farm. We have greens grown and available for immediate purchase, crop that is currently growing and will be available at a specified date, and crop that can be planted and grown to order. It would be AMAZING if we could have the option to add an exact date or timeframe the item will be ready. Right now, my customers can’t checkout an item with zero inventory listed, even though I am able to mark it as available in 2 weeks, etc.

 

As our business expands, we are finding it more and more difficult to track inventory and accept future orders in any form other than telephone or email orders. Adding the convenience of online ordering is nearly essential in today’s marketplace, however, Square just doesn’t handle all the features our business requires. 

Hi there. This is easy stuff. Would you be open to offering your Customers a cool, Square-powered Mobile App to do this? We're an official Square Partner and make custom websites and mobile apps that do all the things people want to do. 

 

Our Apps allow people to order things that aren't yet in inventory and all kinds of cool things like what you mentioned. Or, let us know if you'd be interested in a sleek, slim "Shop" you can stick inside your existing website that does this also. DM, if interested.
