Feature Request: Sell classes or events through my Square Online website

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: How do I create an email to sell dance classes on line? Do you have a way to code access?

 

How can I send an email that will sell an online dance class?  How can I create a unique code access for each purchase after a purchase on square to go to view the class?  I would like to sell dance classes online using your service.  I already have your service in place on my webpage. Square doesn't offer the ability to sell classes online. The best workaround is to create an event using Square's Online Store so you can sell tickets for your dance class. You can copy/paste the site URL to your website so your customers will be routed to our ecomm platform for purchase.

I have a brick & mortar Store and now, thanks to the pandemic, an online store. I sell items and I have cooking classes. How do I set up the classes so that I can see who is signed up? I need to be able to see who purchased the class in case we have to cancel due to low attendance or a world pandemic. 
We usually have 2 classes a week with up to 24 students. All the classes are different, we rarely hold the same class twice.

Right now, the Square Online Store is not optimized to sell online (group) classes. Sorry about that! @JustinC offers a workaround in this thread that may be helpful.

 

This is a highly requested feature, so we'll make sure to post in this thread if we hear any updates on the development of this feature.

I see you say it would be very beneficial, but I also see where this request has been made for several years, and nothing has ever happened.  I just joined, and for my classes I'm having to use a different company.  It would be extremely beneficial to me to have everything under one roof, and I'm sure it would benefit you in that you could attract more potential customers.

I want to sell tickets to an in person class and limit the number of seats for class to ten. I also however want those ten seats to be able to choose a design for a sign. How do I do that without each design listing 10 in stock?? ie. All ten people can pick the same design or all ten people can chose a different design. How do I get the designs listed and have a drop down menu to pick from that will show the design they are picking and still limit to "stock" of 10 total? Anyone have any suggestions?

I moved your post to an existing thread that answers about selling classes with the Online Store.

 

Square Online isn't really intended for selling classes at this time but other sellers in this thread may be able to offer a workaround.

I am trying to set up selling tickets for an event.  I have to cap the number I sell to comply with Covid restrictions.  How can I do that?

Hey @AngelaReid

 

If you choose to add an item through the Online Dashboard you'll want to select the Item Type as "Digital". From there you can update the stock so that you're able to cap the number!
