Feature Request: Allow staff to mark when they are not available + request time or days off

The title of this post has been edited from the original: New timecards - is there time off?

We are enjoying the new scheduling features on the Team App - but my staff need to be able to request specific days off - not just every Thursday. Or I need to be able to block "OFF" days with a specific date and time. Is this possible?

Truly, Timecards is obsolete until these functions are added. Even for a small staff of 10, it’s near impossible keeping up with requests off, if they can’t be input into the schedule. Hope you'll work on it, Square Team! Because we’re loving everything else with payroll and scheduling thus far!

Yes! We ALWAYS ask staff when they are not available. Inevitably, most staff members reports less available time than not available, especially students. The result, in the long run is that staff usually asks for additional hours because they do not realize the impact of giving less available time. This is the way. @Square

I think this request goes hand in hand with the idea that staff needs to report time that they are not available vs the current setup of reporting when they are available. We ALWAYS ask staff when they are not available. Inevitably, most staff members reports less available time than not available, especially students. The result, in the long run is that staff usually asks for additional hours because they do not realize the impact of giving less available time. This is the way. @Square

Thanks for your input @sodanerdy! Having the option to show "not available" vs. available times makes sense, especially in the context you share. We'll keep passing this feedback up the line!

The feature for staff to be able to request PTO and blocking availability (for vacations or otherwise) is so crucial.

PLEASE Square, add this feature asap so that it can truly be an even trade, or dare I say an upgrade from our previous scheduling app.

I REALLY need this feature at my place of employment.

We are planning on moving from 7shifts to team scheduling.  Two very important features that are missing from scheduling are:

No way for an employee to request time off.

Notifications to Iphone on team app does not work.

These are both very important features that need to work to make this application acceptable
