Feature Request: Allow my client to pay for multiple appointments in one transaction

Feature Request: Allow my client to pay for multiple appointments in one transaction

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Appointments Application: How do I checkout and include multiple appointments on one ticket?

I recently did a soft launch of my business. I tried to close out my appointments and process them all under one ticket but quickly realized this was not possible. In my business model, I can go to a location with multiple contractors. Each contractor can have 1 to many services booked for the day. I need the ability to check out, add multiple appointments to one ticket, and charge that payment to one customer. - Example 1: Jane gets her cut by John, her makeup done by Carol, and her hair styled by Miguel. Jane is just one customer and should not have to process her card 3 different times. - Example 2: John gets his hair done by Max, his beard trimmed by Joe, and decides he wants to pay for Jane's bill in example one. In addition, there is a contractor attached to each service and they get a 70% commission and so this needs to be tracked accordingly for payroll. Currently, I do not see a way to do this. So I figured I'd post here to see what my options may be... This is a big problem for my business model. Thank you in advance for your help and guidance. JenVerg

Re: How can one client pay for another client I instead of paying separately

Ah, so you're asking if it's possible to pay for two appointments in one card swipe.

This feature has been requested by others in this thread so I've moved your post here - thanks for letting us know how it would benefit your customers. I circled back and this is currently still a feature request. We'll update this thread if we hear any updates!

Re: Appointments Application: How do I checkout and include multiple appointments on one ticket?

Hi @JenVerg, thanks for your post. At this time it's not possible to check out multiple Appointments at the same time, you will need to check out one appointment at a time.

I understand that this isn't ideal for your business model but I'm glad you let us know how you'd like to use Square Appointments. I'll share this feedback with our Appointments team and it will help them to prioritize which features to build next!

I have a salon where team members are using passcodes on one shared device and want to ring out the client who has gotten services with 2 team members - how do we do that so that reports show only the actual sales of the employee and not who rang it out?  we tried switching passcodes in the middle of the sale and that does not work. We are left with either having to run the clients card several times after ringing out the services for the employees separately or not having reports to show us the right totals per employee's sales and not just that they rang them out!

Help??

We have a salon w 7 people and are finding exactly what you are saying to be the problem.  While we can track the individuals that are passcoded and ringing out the sale - team members can not share a ticket so the client rings out once and not multiple times.  If the client has a pedicure with one team member and a haircut with another and buys retail that credits to the house, we have to scan the clients card for payment 3 times.  This is not the experience we want the clients to have.

If you have come up with a work around- please let me know.

I wanted to see if it's possible to combine 2 or more appointments at checkout and still maintain the sales credit to the individual employees. For example, if 2 customers come in for a manicure, they each have an appointment with different employees. When they check out one customer wants to pay for both. We need to combine those sales into one credit card transaction, but we also want to be able to keep the credit for the sales for each employee who performed the service. I know a couple of years ago this was not possible, but I wanted to see if there have been any fixes or work arounds for this.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide specific examples of how this feature would benefit your business, @Richlow! I've moved your post to this thread where we are continuing to track this request for our product team, as this feature is not currently available - and we want to ensure that they see your example.

Other sellers interested in this feature being built out have provided some of the workarounds they've used here in this thread, so I'd recommend taking a peek at those in the meantime.

Good morning! I don’t see anywhere to leave comments on the Square website. I hope it’s OK if I drop Juan here. I was wondering if there were anything in the works to merge two appointments onto one ticket. I own a massage business and when a couple come in they are scheduled separately with two different therapists. But we have to add one of them to the others books so they can pay together for convenience reasons. Because of that the therapist Individual sales will never match what I put in my spreadsheet. Keeping me from utilizing squares full potential

Is there a way to group appointments/clients via the appointment check out? Is there a way to have separate stylists assigned to each service &/or client?

Ex. grouping a father and son together so they pay together instead of separately and then adding one stylist for father and another for son
