Feature Request - Ability for Customer to upload images, files to Square Online

Hi there,

I am toying with the idea of building an online store. Bit of background, I own a small gift printing store. In order to take online sales i will need to allow customers to upload their photos when adding an item to the basket.

I can do this via woocommerce or opencart. However id like to keep all my invoices and orders tied in with square in one place.

So my question is, using squares website building platform, can a customer upload a image while adding an item to the cart as well as a text submission for names and dates etc...

Thanks,

Dan

Im trying to add a custom form that I created for customers to upload photos and details for their order. But I am unable to add the form to the product page or if I add it to the website as a stand alone page I am unable to link to product page for customers. Is this feature not available which website builder offers this feature.

Hey there, @bee4, thanks for reaching out to us here.

At the moment, Square Online does not support the ability to link custom forms to product pages. The only workaround we can suggest is inputting the link to the form on a separate page and including instructions in your item description on how customers can navigate to this form. Alternatively, you can include a link to the form in the item description, advising customers to copy and paste it into another browser.

Unfortunately, neither of these workarounds is overly elegant as these are still active feature requests with our Product Team.

When we are able to share more news regarding the ability to upload images and files directly to Square Online, we'll be sure to tag everyone and comment in this thread.

Pushing August 2023 and still no option?  I really like Square and created a website to ditch Shopify, but... This makes it a bit easier to stay with Shopify, where my customers can see their customization live on a t-shirt as well as upload photos... Bummer...

Adding my comment here too - this is a feature I NEED for my custom items. I'm strongly considering switching to shopify... customizing things on Square seems to be so difficult.

Three years after this thread was started and still no traction on getting a feature where our customers can upload an image. I just recently brought my domain back to Square and now I believe that I will be moving it somewhere else, likely Shopify. It's too bad too because I have a bunch of Square hardware for in-person sales too. I would have much rather had the ability to let my customers upload an image than any of the more recent "features" that have been added.

When will this become a feature I offer custom items that can take personalized photos.

Looks like square doesn’t care about customer support.

Yeah, @NMLD I'm done with Square. Working on transitioning to a platform that actually wants to be functional for businesses rather than blogs, boutiques, and pop-up sellers. Not only am I moving my online store, but I'm going with a different POS setup too.

@laurenrollett Yeah, Shopify is getting my business.. with a $10/mo add-on app, Shopify does everything I need, including serving as a POS for in-person sales.

2024 now and still no solution!  This is crazy.  How has a simple in-demand feature not been actioned on?
