Feature Request - Ability for Customer to upload images, files to Square Online

Hi there,

I am toying with the idea of building an online store. Bit of background, I own a small gift printing store. In order to take online sales i will need to allow customers to upload their photos when adding an item to the basket.

I can do this via woocommerce or opencart. However id like to keep all my invoices and orders tied in with square in one place.

So my question is, using squares website building platform, can a customer upload a image while adding an item to the cart as well as a text submission for names and dates etc...

Thanks,

Dan

Any update?

yeah, upload picture feature has to be a thing like NOW. How is it not by now? 2022, people.

This is rather frustrating. How has there not been an update? Is this something weebly is even considering? It is extremely important for a lot of businesses. I would hate to close down this site to use another one. Square has so many great opportunities, but this is a must for many businesses.

Same issue here, I sell custom portrait stickers and want to be able to have my customers upload their picture when they order. Is there really no other alternative to modifiers?

I FOUND A WORKAROUND!!

1) have a button that says upload your design and make it lead to a page on your square site where you embed jotform (You can remove all the branding).

2) have the button on jotform lead to the next page on the square site where you would choose the product or size, etc

Check out my site as an example

Thank you so much! I'm definitely gonna give this a try!

Okay I read this entire thread and as a baker I absolutely NEED this function as well (and its sad this thread has gone on for this long with still no ability to have a customer upload photos to their order). While I found a few workaround (see below so this may help others) having to go in such a roundabout way to get this feature should not be necessary whatsoever as a file upload is truly a pretty basic thing that so many businesses need.

Workaround 1 - use Ecwid who allows photo uploads and just use square as the payment processor

Workaround 2 - pay for an app that plugs into Square

Workaround 3 - for bakers use Bake Diary inquiry form to allow uploads and uses square as my payment processor

Again this is a basic need for MANY business types including bakeries. and needs to be implemented sooner than later and not make people pay for various workarounds

Ability to add PDF files, photos, documents to an order

Lets start October 2022 with a check-in to see if this is going anywhere.  Seamus, can you give us some good news?

Our business received PDF files for printing.  We currently work around with an email to submit items, but its preventing us moving ahead due to the time it takes to fix email/square discrepancies.  I know its easy in shopify, and I think I can work out the jotforms but why should I?

Hey there, @mhweft, thanks for reaching out to us for an update.

While I don't have any further news to share regarding this feature request, I've gone ahead and forwarded your feedback directly to our Ecom and Product teams. I've also asked if there are any improved workarounds we can offer you here in the meantime.

I'll check in again on this thread either later this week, or early next week (depending on when I hear back from these teams).

Hi there, @mhweft, just circling back to you on this one after hearing from our Ecom and Product teams.

We escalated the feedback in this thread directly to our product developers this week who have acknowledged the high demand for this feature request in our Australian market. We're hoping the enthusiasm for this request from our Sellers generates some momentum here and as always, we'll be sure to tag everyone in this thread with updates as they are received by our team.

At this time, we don't have any further workarounds to share here, other than what has already been shared in this thread.
