A way to add an automatic late payment fee onto invvoice at both a % per month and a flat fee option on all late invoices would be great to help business recover money in a more timely manner from other businesses.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us about the option to apply late payment fees to Square Invoices. I can see how this could be a valuable tool for businesses, ensuring timely payments and mitigating potential losses.
I've passed on your feedback to our Product Team today. If you know of any other Sellers who would find this feature useful, please encourage them to leave their feedback in this thread so we can continue to track the demand for this request.
Just found this thread, is there any update on this?
I'm sure I saw an option for it not long ago but can't seem to find it anywhere and the help forum for invoices states that late fees cannot be applied to invoices.
Thank you for reaching out to ask about how we're tracking here!
I know that the ability to apply late fees on existing invoices has been released in some overseas markets, but it’s not yet available in Australia. I haven’t received any further updates since my last message, but I reached out today to inquire if this feature will be included in future developments for Square Invoices in Australia.
In the meantime, you can always edit and resend an invoice with an added late fee. Here’s how:
1. Go to Payments > Invoices in your Square Dashboard. 2. Select the desired invoice. 3. Click Edit to update the invoice details > Send Invoice. Only the updated invoice will be payable by your customer.
I’ll follow up with you here as soon as I receive an update from my team!
Hi @MrBagz, just following up with an update from the Product Team.
At the moment, this feature isn’t on the development roadmap for Square Invoices in Australia. However, I’ve shared your request with the team. The more feedback we get from Australian Sellers, the higher it will climb on future roadmaps.
In the meantime, we’ll keep monitoring this thread.
