Discount Codes to be used when booking an appointment online

I'd like to offer a special for clients for booking online, but there is no option for them to enter in a discount code when booking their appointment. This would be an essential asset to business marketing, promotions and bookings. It's important to have pre-paid booking options, but if i want to offer a discount, there doesn't seem to be any way to do this

Doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to add a feature that they already have on Item sales to Appointments, so hopefully their coding staff will figure it out soon.

This issue hasn't been addressed and its been YEARS. WTF.

Want to be notified about any updates on this as well! This would mean a lot to me and my long-term clients that deserve a family discount.

15, yes, fifteen pages of replies wanting discount codes on appointments booking online.

It's now Aug 2021 and the entire planet has moved online for booking all sorts of things and "do it in person" just isn't a thing anymore.

I'm going to have to set all my prices to $0 as a work-around, and then charge clients later as I have a series of discounts up to 100% off so I can support non-profit workers.

If you can do it with Items, you can do it with Appointments.

I am once again recommending ACUITY SCHEDULING (no I am not sponsored) because it has now been 4.5 YEARS since the OP and Square has done absolutely nothing to address this. Why? Because they want you to BUY THE ADDON. And if I'm going to spend money on an appointment service I might as well spend the same amount with a company that has all the bells and whistles and CLEARLY SHOWS WHAT THEY DO AND DON'T PROVIDE UPFRONT and doesn't hide the fact that they won't offer something as basic as discount codes. It's honestly ridiculous, as coupons are a fundamental part of retail sales.

Hello, when will Square add a discount or coupon feature at client checkout. It's be difficult.

This needs to be a feature for Online Booking (Appointments).  Quite a few of us offer services and would like to offer specials and discounts which can be applied at checkout when they book their appointments.

Wow... I can't believe its been nearly 5 years and 15 pages of comments with this same issue. I have my clients prepay for their appointments (too many instances of people using "fake" credit card numbers, so when they cancel I am unable to process cancellation fee). So I can't offer my clients a discount code when booking. There is also no way for me to add a discount after they've booked. There is no way for me to go back during checkout and refund them a partial amount. The only solution is to completely refund them the entire purchase, leaving them to wait 3-7 days for their money back, and then charge them a SECOND time. As a client I would be **bleep**ed if that happened to me. Very frustrating that they make this SO difficult. And don't get me started on only offering certain services during certain days/time blocks......

Do you suppose the Square staff are laughing at us right now? Like, "Hey Joe! Check this out! They're still begging us to get discounts on their appointments after all this time!! HAHA LOSERS!" 

I mean at this point they must be !! Shoutout to who ever above me suggested acuity instead. I just spent the last 2 hours switching everything over... I dont know if I want to cry from relief that I finally have solutions to all my issues or cry from frustration that I've been dealing with P.O.S. Square for this flippin long 😡 Discount codes available. Partial payments available. Someone can book a service, pay whatever deposit ($ OR %) you decide, have the option to pay in full if they chose to do so, they can also check out with paypal if they want. the best part - even after the apppointment is booked and paid for you, YOU CAN STILL ADD "ADD-ONS!" Without having to create a whole new appointment to charge them... nope it just adds right on and shows "balance due" THEN YOU CAN JUST CHARGE THE CARD, TAKE CASH, WHATEVER!!!! Did I mention I'm crying from relief??????? All this is so basic yet has been a NIGHTMARE for me the past year........ I'm just in awe. So so so so much simpler. Oh, and not to mention customizable booking links (unlike squares 270 character links that you couldnt even tweet if you wanted to)... and the embedded booking calendar that goes straight onto your website???? No more clicking 27 links to freaking book..... I'm gonna go back to crying now. Happy Holidays folks. Santa brought me Acuity this year.
