Hi I am new to square. .is there a way of having the customers name come up on the receipt? Please note I am not wanting to know about invoices.. thanks
I just couldn't take the nonsense anymore of not having such basic necessity's in place in the first place or at least added when so many customers ask for it.
keeping on repeating were having our technicians looking at it etc. doesn't help anyone at all.
This feature is a must. We are using Square restaurant and square POS (for short term accommodation) and there should be no reason why a customers profile doesn't carry across to their receipt. Does it happen on square retail? What happens if a customer puts purchases on layby/layaway?
Has this been fixed and added yet? I am creating my new allied health care biz in Australia and this is a requirement for health funds. Will make me need to look at other companies if it's not addressed.
Thanks for reaching out to us. I noticed it's your first time posting to the Seller Community - Welcome! 👋
At this time, I don't have any further news to share regarding the feature to add customer names to receipts. While I'm unable to comment on internal development timelines, if this feature is a mandatory requirement for your business, you may wish to explore alternative options in the meantime.
You can always circle back to this thread to receive updates on this request in future.
the fact that this is still an issue is ridiculous! I have a square terminal, I can input the customer name in at the time of payment, but it doesn't appear on the receipt, WTF??? as an allied health provider, it's a necessity that the customer name is on the receipt, that it can be but isn't is beyond my comprehension. This needs to be fixed ASAP
You can currently add a customer's name to the receipt by adding it as a note in the checkout process. This works on both digital and printed receipts. While this is a request we've been tracking, we don't have an update at this time, but hopefully you can use this workaround. Please let us know how you go!
