Customer file upload and attachments

We own a bakery, it would be really helpful if customers could submit pictures of their idea when purchasing online. Other online platforms have had this feature for years. Right now I use Jotform and process my sales with them because they have it available.

👋 Hi @TomD, @SlateCreek, and fellow posters in this discussion thread. I wanted to follow up here and acknowledge the frustration around this request. I sincerely apologize for the lack of responsiveness on our side, I understand how frustrating it must be to provide feedback and not hear back. 

I'm glad @maxpete reached out to me so I could go directly to the product folks involved and get an answer for you all. I spoke to the team and can confirm this feature is not currently planned. While this is not the answer you hoped for, I am glad that we were able to raise the idea to the right people and get a definitive answer for now. In the future if we have any news around this feature coming to life, you would find out about it by subscribing to our Product Updates Blog.

Guessing this got lost in their pile of useful features and still no progress made 3 years later

I own a bakery and would love to see this feature added as a form section maybe to be applied to order inquiries. (I.e. Customer comes to our website and submits a order inquiry for a cake, on the form the submit contact info event date, short description of cake decor and have the ability to upload any inspiration photos within the form. ) The form info and pictures would all come through to bakery email at one time.

Actually this feature request is more like 4 years old and you are correct they don't care. When my hosting is up I am switching to Shopify for this feature. It really doesn't make sense since it should be an easy thing to make happen. Oh well.

I just created an account with shopify - setting up my site now. I really love square, and spend a fortune in fees with them every month, but if they don't care about me then I don't care about them. I'm tired of all the checkout errors also. For this simple request to go on for 4 YEARS unanswered is crazy - especially when every other hosting site offers it. Time for me to jump ship, sorry square! I'm done at the end of the month.

@Square We're looking at over 6 pages of replies asking for a status update on this basic feature for online businesses. Has this been considered as a feature to add to the pipeline? If so, what is the expected release date?
