Custom Image / QR Code on Printed Receipts

My company operates multiple restaurants and venue bars using Square for Restaurants and Square POS. We would find great value in the ability to include a custom image, such as a QR code, in the footer of the printed receipts in addition to the Custom Text we can already include. This would allow us to use QR codes to link to our own marketing promotions / websites or even the Square Marketing email sign up page.

In my "Comments" area of my receipt, I ask for Page Likes and Google 5 Star reviews. URLs for these links are printed on the receipt. It would be nice to use a QR code. Either in addition to the url or instead of the url.

Looking forward to this feature. Thanks!!

  • Hey @nsilvialafrance! Thank you so much for submitting this Feature Request! I've updated it to the "Reviewed" status. This step in the Feature Request process will be a time in which other sellers can add their use cases to your idea to make it stronger and demonstrate further how much it is needed. Later on, we'll re-visit the most popular feature requests in the "Reviewed" status and bring them to product teams.
To other sellers that see this feature, please leave a like and reply with a use case that your business would have. This will help to signal that this feature request is even more important to address.

Would use it the exact same way. Google Reviews are vital to us and eliminating any barrier to them is extremely valuable. A QR is far superior than someone having to type a link, even a short link. Requires for more effort and agency.

I went looking for this feature in the Square documentation and didn't find it. QR codes on receipts would be crucial to us for customer engagement and feedback.

+1 - Very much want to see this feature.

Yes!

@JJ_ what is the timeframe in which this can move from reviewed to the next step in the process? It has been over 6 months and other customers have indicated their interest in both this thread, as well as other threads over multiple years. How do we make progress on this?
