Creating scanable membership cards?

Is it possible to create a membership card with a scanable UPC code on?

What I want to do is have a card that I can scan and it automatically adds the customer to the sale.

So for example instead of hitting "no sale" and then "add customer" and then searching for their name and hitting add to sale. I would just scan the UPC code and it would pull them up.

@CashCleaners This is a great idea. We will make sure to pass this feedback along to the product liaison team. As @VanKalkerFarms stated this feature is currently unavailable.

I work for a private school in CT and we have a Snack Bar and use Square Register for the sales.

In Square, we have a list of all students at my school and every time there's a sale, the cashier needs to look up the students' names in the database and this is cumbersome.

Would it be possible for the cashier to scan a student ID card and then have the student's name automatically pop up in Square?

I agree, sounds cumbersome to search through a long log of students to attach a sale. Unfortunately Square doesn't have a solution to help this, but I merged you to a thread where another Seller asked for a similar request. Moved you to it for tracking.
