Compatible Barcode Scanners - Square Register

Hi,

I have a store with 5000+ SKU's in my inventory and being a large user it baffles me that Square still has not provided more options for barcode scanners? A 2D barcode scanner would be ideal for a smooth checkout process.

At this moment sometimes our staff have to manually key in items as sometimes the Zebra single line scanners do not pick up the barcodes!

Heya @singhsfood - good news, we're updating the compatibility list to include more 2D barcode scanners. You can use the Zebra DS2208, DS9308 and DS9908 with your Square Register.

The Zebra DS2208 is a handheld scanner, the DS9308 is a hands-free scanner, and the DS9908 is a hybrid scanner, offering both handheld and hands-free functionality. Regardless of your choice, all of these scanners can seamlessly connect to your Square Register via USB.
