When customers come in the salon it would be nicer to check in digitally

So I see this isnt planned but I would also like this feature of a check in. 

 

Its also valuable for reporting so we can export to excel and run reports on average lateness and on time appointments. 

I run a spa and a check in option would be fabulous! our waiting area is near by the rooms but it would be nice to have the option in case whoever is at the front desk is busy with another client. I don't want to leave square but if we get busier I may have to for that feature.

Yes a check in option is something I would love to have! We have a register and I would be okay with the option for the client to check themselves in or even the front desk be able to click a button to check the client in! 

this would be great to keep track of late or early appointments as well as the providers could get a notification stating client has arrived! Instead of coming out and aimlessly having to look to see if their client is here especially if the client is new to the facility. 

I would love to digitally be able to check our clients in for their appointments. This feature would allow the provider to know when and if their clients showed up without aimlessly looking to see if they arrived. This could be a button option for front desk to click or for clients to click on the register screen on their side.

we could then keep track of how long people are waiting, if they are late or early, and it also would be great if front desk is busy on the phone the provider would not have to wait to ask if their client has arrived. We love square and this feature would be essential for the efficiency of my business I don’t want to leave square but I have found other appointment software that has this button and as we get busier this is a huge MUST HAVE. 

Hi there. Does anyone still need this feature? I own a Square Partner company and we have tons of simple and advanced check-in technology that we could use to make this quickly for everyone. 

 

Awhile back we even created a geo-fenced check-in for a Salon (that was too busy to ever roll it out) that would detect when the Customer left or got back within a certain distance of the salon - like if they wanted to go run errands instead of wait. 

 

We have push notifications, text message alerts and GPS down to a science to add to this if needed. My team can basically make this for free - just because we have all the tech already.

Yes, need to be able to check in those that showed up for their appointment so that by the end of the day, I know for certain who to send NO SHOW notices to so that we can keep track of people who will have to leave a deposit next time they book an appointment. 

Ok, we're making this feature for everyone for free. We do super high-end technology solutions, so I'm confident everyone will be happy with what we make - and we're easy going. If it needs tweaks then our system can easily add those to everybody's version/installation/page or to any specific one.

 

I'll post a demo link here when we're finished. Maybe around Saturday just because our entire team is a little busy this week.

That’s an excellent feature request. We appreciate you sharing your business use case and why it would be valuable for you. I can see this being a valuable feature for many sellers.

Yes, we need this!!! I constantly have to check in with staff at the shop to see who is a "no show" so I can know if i can send more customers with their dogs for grooming. This would help so much as I oversee a brick and mortar business from home...

Yesssss I have been emailing square for years! 

They could put a check in option A) on our screen or B) on the client facing pos on the register. Or both! 

I would love to be able to click a button to let staff know their client has arrived/checked in for their appointment! It’s literally the only thing about square I’m not impressed with because it would be so beneficial
