Can you DISABLE: GOOGLE PAY from Square Invoice?

I have had countless people fail to see the "OR" option when paying an invoice and they think they are suppose to use Google Pay. "G PAY"

Is there any possible way to disable Google Pay from an accepted method to remove this confusion for my customers? I do not believe I have had ANYONE use Google Pay when checking out, and I don't see that necessary in my invoices.

Hello @fordhamr, thanks for your patience here.

I checked in with the Invoices team and yes it is possible in future you might be able to control which payment options appear on a Square Invoice, i.e. remove Google Pay. I can't share a timeline for when that could be available, but I've added this post to the Invoices Feature Request board so we can keep track of it!

The Invoices team also reminded me that Google Pay option will only appear on Invoice if your customers is signed in to Google/or to Google Chrome when they open the invoice. I know it isn't a perfect workaround - but in theory you could manually share a link to an invoice with a customer and suggest that they sign out of Google, or use another browser app like FireFox, to open it. (Keep in mind they open it with Safari on an iPhone they'd might see the Apple Pay option.)

How can I remove Google Pay from showing up on my Square online checkout link items?  It's confusing for my customers.

Is there any update on this yet? It's really confusing to customers, especially since Google Pay shows up first on the invoice. We sell to small businesses that have no interest in Google Pay. When will this be turned off?

Yup, it would really help to be able to turn off GPay and ApplePay and whatever else might show up if someone happens to be logged into it. Senior Citizens don't understand and get confused by it. They just want to type in their credit card details.

I have disabled google pay and apple pay in online dashboard/settings/ checkout/ advanced, but it still keeps showing up when my clients pay invoice and it's confusing to them. 

When I create the invoice, i have "credit card" selected for payment method. I did a test invoice and when i received it, google pay and apple pay are showing.  I've called E-commerce and been transferred 4 times and nobody else can tell me why this is still showing!!!!  Invoices dpt. tells me they don't see it on their end.  When I ask for a manager or Team Supervisor, she put me on hold again for over 25 minutes and came back to tell me that it's currently NOT an option to remove them!!

Unacceptable!!!  So now yet another feedback request!!

I would also like to vote for the ability to disable Apple/Google Pay from appearing as a payment option on INVOICES.

My service requires users to save their credit card during checkout, in lieu of a security deposit. Using Apple/Google Pay prevents their card from being saved, so I have to go through the inconvenient and (awkward) process of calling them over the phone to save the card into the system.

I see that you can disable those payment options in the Store, so hopefully it can be enabled for Invoices as well.
