with chip reader plugged in phone completely it does not work

with samsung galaxy S5 when plugged in all the way, phone does not see it. If i remove it just a little it will see it then it will not. Did I get the wrong version?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I just check out compatibility page, and your phone is definitely compatible with this reader, and our Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader. 

Do you happen to be using a case with your phone? Have you had a chance to check for software updates for you device and our app?
