I very rarely do services on credit. I expect payment at time of service However I do occasionally I need to be able to click on a payment and see the name of the person who sent it I just lost a customer because I sent them a late payment notice when they already paid The only way I am able to believe that they did actually pay is because they told me the date that they paid and Square shows a payment from somebody that day So far I am only testing this app out and am not impressed If I start using it more frequently and receiving multiple payments on any given day, how do I determine who paid me I only use the app for receiving payment And I still can't understand why I can't have this conversation in real time with a real human on a chat

you just need to add their name while checking them out using the customer directory feature of Square and you will have a name tied to their transactions.  Not all credit cards automatically transfer the name and by using customer directory you get many more features.
