tracking sessions used from packages/membership

I have a question about selling packages and memberships.  We sell several different services individually.  We also sell those services in packages and memberships.  Clients can use any of the services in the package or membership based on the number of sessions in the various packages and memberships.  We need to have the sessions deducted from a package or the monthly membership as the client uses them.  Is that possible?

To my knowledge, this is not possible. However, I have packages available. The way I do it is this way.

ITEM: 4 pack, $220

They pay the $220 and the transaction is added to their customer profile. However, I add a note to their profile saying 4 pack purchased 8/8/21

When they come back in, I can see they have 4 left and no other transactions occurring after that. When they complete the service & redeem one, I toggle the discount PACKAGEREDEEM that I created for 100% in the service at checkout and they’re done!

Yes, this is how we are currently doing it, too. I appreciate your feedback though! It does make it do-able, but not ideal or sustainable. I also added a modifier list with Session #1, #2, #3, ....#8, Package Complete. So we can log it and quickly tell how many sessions are left based on the last transaction (*ASSUMING THE PERSON CHECKING OUT DID IT PROPERLY). This process relies entirely on the diligence of our front desk, which is a lot to be accountable for in addition to all our other square workarounds on a busy day.

*the other issue with doing it this way is that our reports are totally skewed. Discounting something that was already paid for makes it look like we are giving it away for free. which is a problem for overall business reporting, but even more so if we are trying to grant commission or track/cap employee discounting on things.

I have a problem when someone buys a series or a package online. e.g. 3 x 1 h session. When someone chooses a series in the appointment app, all 3 h would be booked in a row, in case it would be available. What do I have to change in the setting?

Hi all I realize this thread is a bit old but in case this is still a need for you please let me know.

My name is Dan I've worked in point of sale and payments for 7+ years and developed a software to help retail businesses leverage subscriptions.  It's called Submatic (https://www.submatic.io/).

We have an integration with Square that automates discounts and product redemptions based on the rules that you configure.  For example you can create a membership for a product or which entitles the member to a discount.  Our software tracks and communicates the membership benefits with Square so that you don't have to track anything manually.

If you're interested in getting more info or checking out a trial let me know.  You can send me a direct message here on the forum, just hover your mouse over my username and then click "Send Message". Thanks
