track inventory count through modifiers or options

I need to track inventory for one option, that I use for multiple products. For example, we make bagels every Saturday. Customers can order them a la carte or as a sandwich. I need to be able to put a count on the number of everything bagels we have as a total. Why can't you add a count to modifiers? Or options? Adding a count to variations doesn't help me because I can't tie it to all items we use it on. We are constantly readjusting our count all day. Today, one of our regulars didn't place an order because we didn't have enough bagels for what she wanted. I can't imagine how many sales we are loosing because of this issue. This is beyond frustrating. Also, please add days of the week to prep time options. We let customers preorder for Saturday during the week, but a lot of times, they select to pick up the day they order it, and not Saturday. This is causing a lot of voids and confusion.

You have the ability to add stock to the variations on items through your Dashboard. 

Go to the item > Edit Item 

Adding stock to modifiers would a Feature Request that can be tagged for our Product Team.
