So I am a square user but I am also starting s business partnership with a local business that also uses square. We are working together to put on events at their movie theater. What we want to do is be able to distinguish the sales from my customers at the theater for the events and other customers already at the theater to see movies. So if someone goes to concessions and has a wristband from my event, their sale can be marked somehow. This way at the end of the night we can accurately determne what my event sales are. There must be a way!?!?!?!?!
I definitely think there are multiple ways you can handle this request. Depending on how you are sharing the check out flow, you could make each separate item categorized under your company. This would generate a Sales Report by Category (steps are in this link) so that you can see what was specifically sold by you.
You also have the option to be logged into two separate locations to take payments on, if different stations would be selling different things. Concession Sales for your event under your company could be logged into a different account location than the Ticket sales.
There may be different options depending on your particulars. Feel free to reply to this post with more specifics and we'll be sure to add additional ideas.
Hi Mihtymainegreen!
I am contemplating a small theater myself, and posted a Feature Request for this particular scenario. Please ready, comment and share so we can get some traction on this post and get it implemented.
Good luck with your theater... especially during these times...
