I have an older square, from like 2013 and 2014, did it automatically update to be able to accept amaerican Express, Apple and Android payments or do I have to get a new reader?
you probably need to order the chip reader.
@Silenttreatment It sounds like you are running a mag-stripe reader. @belmonddrivein is correct! In order to accept Apply Pay and Android pay you will need to update to a contactless + chip reader.
