payment form fields are disabled

Hi!

 

We are having an issue with a small number of users complaining that they cannot enter their credit card details into the Square payment form. 

 

We are using the Square Payment Form described here:

We've been using it successfully for years now but there have always been a small # of complaints about not being able to enter their payment details.

 

I was able to get a user to grab a screen shot of the form for me and I see that the fields appear to be disabled. (grayed out) They don't have the placeholders either. (eg. MM/YY or **** **** **** ****)

 

This forum will not allow me to upload an image unfortunately... But just picture the fields grayed out.

 

I'm guessing that this is a browser security setting problem but I need to figure out what setting if possible.

 

This particular user is using Chrome:

"Google Chrome is up to date
Version 77.0.3865.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)"
 
 

If anyone can shed some light on this I'd be grateful!

So sorry to hear your customers are running into this issue. I really appreciate you taking the time and providing all the details. Your post is very thorough - and I love it! 

 

This is an interesting one. I reached out to our API team, which hosts these kind of developer integrations. We may need to see that screen shot before we diagnose the issue. I'm going to reach out via Direct Message and see if we can send the photo there. Stand by!
