I need to find a name for a past customer to verify payment. Is there a way to do that?
Hi @cagedruss - Have you been saving your customer information in your Customer Directory? If so, you can look up customers there.
There's also a messaging feature in Directory if you click on the customer name. A box on the right hand side should pop up and it will say "Reachable" under their name if you can send them a message.
I meant to write if there a way to find out which past customer made a specific payment?
Scrolling through the past paid invoices all the info is not visible.
Trying to check which involves are from which customer.
I have the same question. I find that Square offers many answers, none of them to the question you are asking. So frustrating.
The quickest way to find a past payment is by swiping, inserting, or taping the card while in the Transactions area of the App. If not then the next best thing would be searching using the Customer Directory and then looking at the activity of this Seller. Do keep in mind that Customer Directory information will only be available if you captured that information during payments.

Doesn't help when the customer and card are not present. There would be no need if customer was present.
I did find a way though to get all info name, email etc. Reprint receipt to my phone.
