how to prevent a customer from booking two appointments on the same day and time

We run a "homework center" where parents can book a one hour appointment for their child.  Sometimes a parent will book an appointment for their child at say Monday on 4:00, then come back a day later and book the same child for the same day and time.  We generally have 3 generic Homework Center staff members that take appointments so that's why it's possible for this to happen.  

 

Is there a way to block a parent from booking the same day and time twice for their child?

Excellent question. Right now, there isn't an exact feature that has this ability. There is a workaround that could do something to help prevent this from happening.

 

Go into your Dashboard, then Appointments: 

 

1. Go to Settings

2. Click on Calendar & Booking and look under Reservation Guarantee

 

You will want to select "Business must accept or decline all appointment requests." This would give you the ability to decline the double booking.
