how to link sale transaction to an Etsy listing

New user here.  I have properly synced my Etsy account with Square.  I made a mistake and a customer paid for an item in my Etsy shop and I didn't choose the item in square rather just ran the card.  Thus the item still show not sold in my Etsy shop.  Is there a way to link that sale back to the Etsy listing?  The it would show sold.  Thank you and hopefully this question makes sense.

Solution

Thank you for clarifying @hx3 - upon looking into this further, it doesn't look like this could be linked retroactively. You can still adjust your stock levels in your Square dashboard so your stock levels are correct. Learn how here

Hi @hx3,

I noticed it's your first post, welcome to our community 👋

Just to clarify, are you looking to retroactively link the Etsy transaction to your Square account? Was the sale processed via Square, or via Etsy? I think I know what you mean, but just want to double-check before seeing if this is something you can do. I'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Thank you so much for the welcome and for seeking clarification. So, yes, I processed a transaction via Square for an item in my synced Etsy account but failed to choose the item in the Square library so Etsy doesn’t show that item as being sold and thus removed from inventory.  I really appreciate your perspective and guidance if possible. Thanks a million
