I want to use Square for sales made from a weekly email I send online.  I don't want an online store...Just process some sales.

Hi there, @widgeonwood2 - if you don't want an online store, and you're using email to stay in touch with your customers, I'd recommend looking into invoicing your customers.

Square Invoices are free to send online, and can be sent directly to your customers by email, or you can add a link to the weekly email that you're already sending! Checkout links could also be a good option for you, as you can add these into your weekly email as well.

Square invoicing sounds like the way to go...is there a button or how do I inform my buyer they will be getting and invoice to pay???  Also, do I collect taxes for the state where I reside or where the purchaser is?  Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hi there, @widgeonwood2 - I can step in for Valentina on this one! I'm glad that Invoices seems to be a helpful solution for you! 📈

Your customer will be notified of the Invoice via email whenever the Invoice is issued - although, it may be beneficial to give them a heads up while placing their order; we don't have a specific way of notifying customers that an Invoice is on the way. 

In regards to taxes, you can set your tax rate for Invoice directly from your Online Dashboard! If you are curious about which rate you should be applying, we recommend reaching out to a tax professional.
