how do I sell a plastic gift card using the virtual terminal

I am trying to find out how to get plastic gift cards to show up as an item on the virtual terminal. We are using them in our stores and they work fine with the ipads but we have people taking orders from home now and thought the virtual terminal was a great option. Other items can be entered. Why can't we enter those gift cards?

Unfortunately, you can not sell plastic gift cards via Virtual Terminal.

Is this still not a thing?  I am aware of eGift cards and my customers have access to them.  But at this time of year we like to do gift card promos such as buy 25 get 5 free.  This can only be done with plastic gift cards. Or, I just have customers that prefer the traditional plastic. So my question is, if a customer uses our online system to order their meal today, can they also add a plastic gift card to their sale?  I wish there was a category etc where they could and it prompts us to activate in store and include with their order.  My competition such as Panera can do it...
