I am using square POS, and recently imported more products from my inventory management software. I sell garments and accessories, each one of a kind, but all within specific categories. So in my POS, I have an item called Quilt Coats, and the existing POS inventory for quilt coats are variations. The newly imported quilt coats are outside of that item. I would like to merge them. Can that be done?
Welcome to the Community, @paigesato -
I want to make sure we are on the same page. Are you adding the new variation whenever the new inventory comes in? There isn't a way to merge the variations, but you can edit the stock & update the title of the variations.
I will keep an eye out for your reply👀.
No, I haven’t added the new variation as I added the new product. There’s no option to do so when I’m importing my products.
so my product is Quilt Coat, and each time I make one, I add it as a variation. But I make them in batches, so I integrate the product from Inventora, and since the variation doesn’t already exist in my square inventory, I have to chose “create new product” from the menu in Inventora.
badically, I need to create the variation beforehand in square so when I sync from Inventora, it has a place to go?
Thank you for circling back, @paigesato.
Yes, that sounds like the best workaround for you and adding them to your Item Library.
Thanks for asking this question - I'm in the same boat with artwork. I was going to create variations as well. Good to learn about editing the stock & updating variation titles.
