card reader declining "Bank of America" and UniBank

Our square chip reader was declining both Bank of America cards and Unicards today at our store.  I understand there will be an update tonight but why would this be happening?  Please advise.

Sorry to hear this. Are you still having issues with accepting BOA and Unicards since you posted in the Community? Did your customer reach out to their bank to ensure the problem doesn't stem from the card issuer's end?

Thank you.   It seems to be working now that the update is completed.

It was several customers and two different banks.   It was definitely a problem with Square.
