can square be used with Wifi if I don't have cell service?

I will be in a basement location that has spotty cell service, at best but I can get wifi.  WIll my square work in that situation?

Absolutely. As long as the device you have square loaded on can access the internet you’re good to go.

Square will definitely work on wifi.  worst case scenario you can even use offline mode (though there is a risk of declined cards due to the fact it can't check on the internet to see if the card has funds). https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5095-process-payments-with-offline-mode
