Wholesale Order Form -> Invoice

I sell posters and postcards.  I've used Square to accept in-person payments at events, but most of my business is wholesale.  I've been invoicing manually, taking checks and avoiding credit card processing fees, but I think its worth it now...so I'm getting started with invoicing!!!

Is there any way to keep going a step further and automate the ordering process?  Ideally it'd be a wholesale order form that essentially creates an invoice?  I want my wholesale customers to have the option of paying by check, and if a consumer stumbles across it I don't want to capture their payment and have to refund it, so I'm not looking for a storefront.

I am a software/web developer, so API wouldn't be out of the question...but I'd hope for something a little more configuration than coding.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff

@mcnejef

The only real option I can think of, would be seeing if something would work with our integration with JotForms.

I haven't played with that API enough to see if it will allow to select methods of payments outside of Square- but my understanding of the integration is that, it may be worth digging into.

I'll throw some feelers out to folks too who may have used other methods to collect payment outside of the normal means on an invoice.

I'm very interested in this idea.
