I have 3600 (+/-) items, I exported my items a few times and updated them. Today I noticed at some point with my downloads / uploads my leading zero in SKU's got dropped. So I went to upload and older CSV or Excel file with the leading Zero. But since that time I have added Items and get the error that illegal Token, to add new items leave token field Blank for 4 items. How do I know which 4 Items have the illegal tokens??
All I get is the picture below.
Would be real helpful if Square said which Row(s) have these errors. Over the last few weeks I have have been making changes for inventory and getting rid of items that do not sell and adding new ones. So 4 errors is easy to fix compared to a few hundred that last the leading '0'. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello @Candlestore!
This is a complicated one.
This errors would be on the document itself, so we are not able to "mark" them, and can only show that they exist with the banner you are seeing.
I would typically ask for a screenshot of the file being imported, but in this case, with 3600 items, that wouldn't be helpful.
We also don't have access to the document itself when it is imported.
Let me get my team and see if there's any other way we can check this for you, we will get back to you when we have updates.
Thank you!
Thank You for seeing if something can be done. I already went through and looked for the 4 errors but it is near impossible and even tried removing a few items I recently added but that did not help. I just exported the File as it was and updated a bunch of the UPC's with a missing zero that I knew of but still could have missed a bunch. More so looking to help others now in the future if this happens to them or me again.
Of course @Candlestore!
I got together with my team and we unfortunately couldn't come up with an answer for you 😔
I would recommend reaching out to Support here: squ.re/contactsqsupport
I'm not sure if on the Seller side they'll be able to check the file with you, but I would ask. If you reach them via chat, you might even be able to send the file within the chat if needed.
We're sorry we couldn't come up with a better answer for you, but I'll pass on your feedback so we can explore better ways to show where the errors are.
Thank you for all you do, we appreciate you!
