When is the automatic payment charged?

A client has requested I set her up for automatic charges to her card each month.  I've checked the option to allow her to do this when her next invoice goes out.

My question is regarding when the actual payment will be charged.  Her reminder invoice goes out 7 days in advance of the due date.  She would like her payment to be charged on the 1st of each month.  Since that is her due date on the invoice, is that the date her card will be charged?

If not, what do I need to do to ensure that her payment occurs on the 1st of each month and not prior to the 1st?

Luckily, the coffee shop in our church uses Square.  I looked back at the charges in our account, and the charge shows up the following day.  If you have set up automatic charges, those charges usually happen around 10am Central.  That is around the same time we buy our coffee at church.  She'll see the charges to her account on the 2nd if you charge it on the 1st.
