Hello. I was wondering if you could clarify something for me, as I'm a little confused when I'm balancing things, when do I get paid for gift card payments? Also, are they recorded twice on the Dashboard?
Howdy @TheFreshLoaf and happy to help out with this! We will only deposit funds when a gift card is loaded with a balance, as that's when a customer's card is charged (unless it's a cash or other tender).
You did ellude to a part of the dashboard that can be a little confusing, gift cards are a tricky item to report on because there is the sale of the gift card and then the transaction from when the gift card is used by the customer. If you want to know how much money will appear your deposit as a result of gift card sales - include giftcard sales since the money from those sales will appear in their deposit (unless they're cash/other tender). If you want to know what your gift card liabilities are then you should instead check out the Gift Cards report, where the amount activated and redeemed is more clearly reported.
