What type of connectivity is needed to process payments?

Does the iPad/Card Reader require WiFi or cellular connectivity to function as a POS?

It can be offline if all you want is POS, but if you want CC processing you need to have internet connectivity.  (there is an offline mode you can use for CC processing, but it is risky as you aren't getting approval for the CC until after the customer is long gone so if it is NSF or other problem you are out the money and the product.)
