What format shows up on my pages

When i upload my items in the drag & drop box, they show up in square format with the sides cut off. Will it be that way or will my items show up formatted the way I want to display them.

Hi there, @energizerbunny 👋 Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community! We are stoked to have you join us here.

We may need to get some further information from you on this one. Are you having issues uploading and creating items to your Online Store specifically? If so, are you seeing your items display incorrectly on the editing tool preview or on your actual site once it has gone live?

If you could also include some photos or screenshots of what you're seeing, that would be so helpful as well!

I will keep an eye out for your response!

I screenshotted one of my pages, so you can see what I mean. Originally, the long side was 800 pix and now I've reduced it to 500pix but still the same problem.

Also, Is it possible to substitute a photo with one that is copyrighted without having to list the whole thing again?

Also, even though I had listed more in my items library, some did not show up on the page. ??

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for this, @energizerbunny! The screenshot you provided is super helpful.

I passed this over to one of our Ecomm experts, and it seems as though in regards to the image sizing, the item display box is a set standard size that can not be altered. The only workaround in this case would be to use a third party editing software to create a border space around the photo for a 'zoomed-out' effect - making the full range of the photo visible. I understand that this is obviously not ideal, so I am passing this feedback over to our Ecomm Product Managers for further visibility.

In regards to specific items not listing on your Online Store, have you ensured that each item is listed as Visible? There are multiple factors that can go into an item not displaying on your Online Store and it is difficult for us to diagnose specifically without getting a 'hands-on' look. In that vein, would you mind flagging this over to our Support Team? They can take a deeper dive with you and see where the issue lays.

Thanks, Joe. If Iknow the pixel size of the box where it displays, I can make a background that size and place im work in that so that it meets the specific size limitations.  I'll try that and see if that might work. I'll recheck my items to make sure everything is set to visible. Thanks for your help.

Thanks again for the prompt response, @energizerbunny!

If your images are 1:1 ratio then actual pixels should just be larger than 800, but we would recommend making sure the image is 800 x 800, or 900 x 900.

Hope this information is helpful!

That's good to know. My format is not 800x800 but since I know that I can make mine smaller to fit in that size. Also, what size limitation is the banner?

Thanks!

Stepping in for @Joe here, @energizerbunny!

It looks like @AshleyK answered this question over in this thread - we generally recommend staying in the ballpark of 2000x1000 pixels.
