I have my website set up to auto-calculate sales tax on purchases. This works 99% of the time. But twice now I've had an issue. One order simply did not charge sales tax and the other order charged an incorrect tax rate. But when I look at the rate that is supposed to auto-calculate it is correct so I'm not sure why it's not being correctly charged to the customer during checkout. I live in NY and it wasn't the same tax jurisdiction for the two orders so it's not that. Anyone else have an issue like this? How was it fixed?
Hi there @fatcrowgourmet
Thank you so much for reaching out to us. Our automatic tax calculator will calculate taxes for the state that you have a physical location in.
This Thread is old but im a new member and having a problem with the automated and itemized sales tax. I live in Michigan 6% and when i do a mock check out the sales tax does not add up, as well as it is taxing shipping it appears. im not sure but could use some help figuring this out.
