We are in the process of switching our POS from Counterpoint NCR to Square. We just wanted to ask how others have processed returns if a customer has a receipt issued in Counterpoint? Also, if we can't use the Square gift cards because we are a franchise, how to return items on Square with a Counterpoint receipt?
You should be able to reverse through your previous vendor. That is really the only way, and hopefully you will recover a portion of the transaction fees you had already paid. Your previous vendor will debit your bank account if the transaction is for previously settled funds.
