Setup fixed $ discount for text opt-in, system at POS using iphone/ipad is showing %%, and does not send customer their receipt so I have to resend. Square has bug in this somewhere, as it is showing setup as $$ in settings but displays as %%, support rep did not understand this much less that it is an issue.
Just spoke w/Marketing support and some type of discount is required to use any part of the text opt-in function. Being a small business this does not scale and being told by Square that I have to provide some type of discount for this is just, well unacceptable. This is also an issue in that I have gotten customer request/approval to send comms but Square says I cant enter this info into their profile and that they require the opt-in but per CPNI rules I am sending the comms and am responsible and not Square so they are managing a process that is outside their area.
IF anyone has figured out how to keep the text opt-in function without a discount please share your insight, it will be most appreciated.
